Doctor of Lola

Lola, aka Senorita Swaddles, had a very busy day today. Firstly she was visited by her Grandfather, Pappy Dan, all the way from Strafford, New Hampshire! Pappy came up with a rather hilarious nickname for Lola using her first two initials and the last two syllables of my last name. Be clever and figure it out! Add a comment with the answer.

Following the visit was Lola's> first trip to her pediatrician, a very nice fellow named Dr. Bonner...James Bonner. Add an MD to the end of that name and you have the sole reason why we chose him as our little one's doctor. For the worry-warts, we are pleased to inform you that he is board certified and has been in practice for 18 years. He also comes highly recommended by our midwife, Kiersten! We were informed that our precious little angel received a 9-9 on her APGAR test which is a perfect score! Oh, we are so proud of her. There seems to be absolutely nothing wrong with her. Her weight, skin, lungs, etc - all in wonderful shape. Healthy little bundle of wonder.

We believe that she has also discovered her hands! When Lola isn't nursing Mommy's boobs she is often found nursing her own little fingers! She loves to have her hands in her mouth. Luckily Dr. Bonner says it is perfectly safe for her to be doing so. Apparently it is important for newborns to touch their faces after all! What a relief! I'm finding out that once you become a parent the list of worries are endless.

Last night my buds from Beverly and Brookline came down to catch their first glimpses of Lolzie and they seemed to be in awe. Maybe they will leave comments about how much they love her.
