Chilly Sunday Afternoon Outing

The picture above features Lola's favorite mittens created by her special friend Ashley. Thanks Ashley! They were just one of the many thoughtful gifts from last night's fun-packed baby shower.

Lola woke us up at 4:30 in the morning today. This may sound like a giant deal, but it was actually a nice change of pace. The little girl came very close to sleeping the whole night through for once. Mainly for Bethany, though, I tend to sleep right through her nightly squealings (especially when I "accidentally" fall asleep on the couch.) But alas the tables have turned. From around 4:30 until about 10am I was incapable of returning to Slumberland. So I watched Shattered Glass in bed on the laptop with Ms. Lola in my arms (who showed no interest.) After the movie I fell asleep with Lols in my arms, which was kinda cute. My friggin' body was in pain, however, since I was unable to shift my body the whole time we were sleeping.

We all eventually got up and met Dad and Rose at their hotel and had an incredibly large meal at Buggaboo Steakhouse. It was delicious and we had a very nice time. Lola would have loved the animatronic talking taxidermy Buffalo head that hung from the wall had she not been sleeping the entire time. I was a bit disappointed the animatronic talking Raccoon that jumps out of a barrel wasn't working.

Afterwards we said our farewells and moseyed on down to Babies R Us to return some duplicate items from the shower. We wished to exchange them for a cool pair of Cherry Robeez and this Baby Einstein Tiger Puppet that I'm obsessed with. They had neither item in stock which made us sad. Then we went to Walmart which I vow never to step foot in again. It's so goddamn depressing.

In other news, Lola has been letting loose some intense ass-gas lately. They're almost as loud as her mother's, but not quite. Nothing can overpower Bethany's.

It's really not Lola that keeps me awake it's John farting and I can't sleep because of the constant vibrations on the mattress and the smell of concentrated fart. My point is that John has the massive gas problem!

I didn't see those mittens at the party, SO cute, they go good with Jess' blanket.

My limited experience of animatronic things and children is bad, I'd say 4/5 children hate them until they go to school(then they can tell that the figure is nonliving)
ps: I am very much loving this blog... I might be obsessed

Hey, Shattered Glass is a great movie, too bad Lola loo is too young to enjoy it. Sounds like Lola has inherited the family farting gene.
