Tardy Tootenheimers!

The photo above is a blast from Lola's past, about 11 days ago in the postpartum room. I'm using this photo because I've been a bad daddy today and have not taken any photographs. The reason for this is not because I've been neglectful, but because I've been saving the batteries to load up the camera full of pictures of Lola with her tardy relatives!

Lola is patiently awaiting the arrival of her Aunt NIna, Aunt "Tia" Anja, and Cousin Steven Elijah Murphy (age 3). Apparently they made some important pit stops along the way (Babies R Us) so we can't help but forgive their lateness.

Today Lola had her big day at the doctor's for her 2nd week check-up. Bethany and I watched as the nurse practitioner prodded our little one with cold blunt objects. Turns out everything is hunky-dory with The Dolly-Doo. She has grown a whole 7 ounces since her visit last week! Wow! She sure is chunkin' up on us, which is good. She's a very healthy and happy little rascal.

Afterwards, the three of us took naps. Bethany and I both fell into a sugar induced coma from eating a multitude of sweet snacks from a certain corporate coffee shop which will remain nameless.

Well, the fam just arrived and now I have to go hunt for them in the parking lot. We'll blog ya later!
