A Special Family Visit

Lola had a very nice visit last night with her Aunt Nina, Aunt Anja, and Cousin Elijah (age 3). Elijah, being the 3 year old that he is, did a lot of stomping and slamming on the ground. We live on the 3rd floor and the neighbors, upset by my nephew's antics, proceeded to bang on the ceiling. This angered Bethany and I quite a bit for two reasons. One, it was only 8 o'clock in the evening. Two, they consistently blast their shitty bass-infused music, which we can hear through the floor, at all hours of the night. Perhaps we interfered with their Nascar race or reruns of Hee-Haw. Who knows?

Anyway, I don't mean to be so negative. This, afterall, is meant to be a positive daily account of our precious little daughter's life. It shouldn't be a slam against the White Trash neighbors, although they really did piss me off last night. I'm also a bit over tired and cranky, which may have something to do with today's blog's negative tone.

I should state that Elijah was very cute with Lola and was speechless upon his first encounter. He was making me a bit nervous around her, though, but everything seems to make me nervous when it comes to my sweetie girl.

Aunt Nina took us out to Nino's Pizza down the street from us, marking Lola's first dinner in a restaurant. We were the only people in the dining room and it was a bit awkward because they seemed to be in the midst of closing up shop. But the waitress was very nice and did a great job at hiding her annoyance.

And what else? Not sure. I worked all day and missed out on everything. And I missed my little girl a lot, I'll tell you that. Tomorrow's her baby shower. She wasn't supposed to be born until March 1st, so she'll actually be at attendance for her own shower! That's kinda cool. She's so excited about it that she pee'd through two of her new onsies in the past hour. The first time she pee'd all over Bethany! Ha Ha!
