Weekend in New Hampsha

I'm happy to report that Lola enjoyed a very pleasant get-away to New Hampshire this weekend. After work Friday night we hit the road and met Mimi Duffy and Aunt (pronounced Ant) Eryn in some parking lot at the University of New Hampshire. After Bethany drove up on the curb and parked Mimi got behind the wheel and took Lola back to the house. We then cut in line to the auditorium where we took seats and patiently awaited the arrival of Bob Saget. Bob was hilariously profane and made endless cracks about Full House and America's Funniest Home Videos and what a sell-out he was for appearing on those lame shows. He joked a lot about the cast members of Full House making incredibly lewd comments about them. I won't go into on this blog but you can all use your imaginations.
Lola was very good with Mimi Duffy and slept most of the time. She was fed formula during the sitting which I at first was a little nervous about but it actually worked out to everyone's advantage - Lola finally slept through the night! Bethany thinks Lola might prefer the bottle now because the flow is faster than her boobs, but don't worry, she still plans to breast feed.
Today marks Lola's fourth week on this planet. She's gotten a lot bigger as you may or may not be able to tell with the photo posted. Her face is a lot larger, in my opinion. She's our little chubber. Oh, and her acne has cleared up quite a bit along with her ashy skin.
Greg and Sandy (aka Grandma Smitty) came to visit and Lola was passed around quite a bit. Lola was also introduced to Bethany's long-term friend Carol. Everyone loves the little girl.
Oh yeah, and it was also my birthday on Saturday. Mimi Duffy made us a delicious steak dinner and a Icebox Cake made from graham crackers. Everything was delicious. I received the sixth season of The Simpsons as a gift which was very exciting. Lola couldn't sing Happy Birthday to me (she can't speak yet) but she did manage to belt our a nice fart for her daddy. It was also Lola's Great-Great Aunt Marianne's birthday who she will hopefully get to finally meet next weekend if we decide to take a trip to New York!
Before we left Lola was passed around one last time. When she was handed to Pappy Dan she vomited all over his shirt. She was quite embarrassed.
My good friend Jessica Faust will be visiting from Brookline tomorrow and perhaps she will watch as I give Lola her much needed bath. We also plan to go out to lunch somewhere and watch Beavis and Butthead.
Anyway, that's the scoop for now. I'd write more but I have to go gawk at the television now and soak up some of the dvds I purchased this weekend with Aunt Eryn's Best Buy discount. But don't worry, there will be plenty of Lola tales to tell tomorrow!

I doubt that by "New York" you meant "New York City", but I'll let you know that if you're planning on bringing that baby on its first trip to NYC any time soon, you best be giving me a call. Happy Birthday, by the way.
